I read about this somewhere online, and then "googled" it. The concept is, you pick 101 things you would like to accomplish, list them, and then you have 1001 days to complete them. So starting today, my end date is Tuesday, July 13, 2010.

Things to learn
- Learn scuba.
- Take a ballroom dance class.
- Take a cooking class.
- Learn to crochet with thread.
- Learn to locate major countries on a map.
- Learn to shoot gun safely (take Hunter's Safety course).
Things I'd like to do
- Send Christmas cards, at least 25 each with a personal note, (mailing on time is necessary.)
- Go to the zoo.
- Have a progressive dinner.
- Do yoga/pilates 3 times a week.
- Run or walk a 5 k.
- Read 101 books in same time frame. (1/101)
- Make 101 scrapbook pages in 1001 days.
- Buy a new car.
- Get new digital camera.
- Buy 5 lottery tickets.
- See a astrological phenomenon (meteor shower, eclipse, etc.)
- Swim a mile.
- Blog at least 100 words per day, must do for 30 days in a row to count.
- Take 10 new photographs a week for a month.
Things I should do
- Finish Christmas shopping presents by 12/1.
- Sell things on ebay and etsy.
- Write thank you notes after Christmas and birthday.
- Improve my Spanish.
- Ride a bike for fun.
- Get a passport.
- Participate in some activity involving local politics.
- Make an emergency kit for home.
- Write 3 letters/emails praising products or service.
- Renew my CPR certification.
- Volunteer 5 times for 1 hour each time.
- Use online bill pay through my bank.
- Wake up when alarm goes off. Must do daily for 3 weeks.
- Adopt needy child for Christmas. (first present already bought)
- Donate school supplies to Family Resource Center.
- Update my resume.
- Improve credit score.
- Do not buy any craft supplies for one month.
- Donate $5 to charity for items not done on day 1001.
- Make a mix CD for a friend.
- Send a package to a friend I've been out of touch with.
- Call someone I haven't talked to in over six months. (called Julie Bennett)
- Write someone a thank-you letter, but not for a present (e.g., old teacher, author of a book I read).
- Send someone flowers for no reason.
- Make 10 homemade gifts. (crocheting shawl)
Cultural Activities
- Go to a lecture or seminar.
- Go to the ballet.
- Go to an orchestra concert.
- Go to a museum.
- See an IMAX movie.
- Tour a vineyard.
- Go to college football game and take Ryan.
- Buy a piece of original art.
Spiritual
- Join a church.
- Read the Bible cover to cover.
- Tithe
- Get baptized.
Around the house
- Have a garage sale.
- Plant flowers.
- Redo shrubbery in yard.
- Grow a vegetable garden.
- Have an egg laying chicken, preferably a banny hen.
- Put dishes in dishwasher or hand wash immediately after using (must do for 6 weeks to count.)
Food and cooking
- Cook a full meal once a week, must do 10 times. (2/10)
- Try one new recipe a month, 12 times. (1/12)
- Learn to bake strawberry cake.
- Eat at a Brazilian steakhouse.
- Try Indian food.
- Make a family recipe book.
- Can or freeze something; jelly, vegetables, etc.
- Try a mixed drink I've never had before.
Changing habits
- Quit biting nails. (haven't bitten since 10/13-- of course, have acrylics on)
- Sort the mail when it comes in, instead of letting it accumulate into a huge pile first.
- Go to the movies alone.
- Put clothes in hamper instead of floor. Must do for 1 month to count.
- Do taxes in February.
Personal Treatments
- Get a really good pair of jeans.
- Buy deliciously sexy high heels.
- Go to spa for a day.
- Lose weight to a healthy BMI.
- Use those teeth whitening strips and finish the pack.
- Take a multivitamin/calcium supplement, must do for 2 months to count.
- Floss teeth more.
- Drink no carbonated beverages for 1 month.
- Get a massage.
- Do a detox diet, at least7 days.
- Buy 3 sets of pretty lingerie.
Family
- Get married.
- Find out all the family birthdays, anniversaries, and email addresses. Make calendar and distribute.
- Make family heritage scrapbook for my mom and Uncle Joe P
- Call Grandmama once a week, 12 weeks in a row to count. (2/12)
- Visit my grandfathers' graves and my Auntie's.
Travel
- Go to Washington DC.
- Travel west of Missouri.
- Visit 5 states I haven't been to before.
- Go to Disney.
- Travel out of the country.
- Ride on a train.
- Go camping.
- Visit a state or national park.
- Go whitewater rafting

Didn't you take scuba in college? By the way - you can mark it off your list - you called me and we hadn't talked in over 6 months.
I did sign up for scuba, but had to drop it because I had to work on Saturdays. Sarah and Emily took it though. And, I was very tempted to mark that off because of our conversation, but I made the list after our first conversation, so I figured that was cheating.
That is a very ambitious list!
You could always call me and mark the calling a friend you haven't talked to in over 6 months off. LOL!
