My dad taught me to read when I was three years old. Ever since then, I've constantly been reading. I'll read anything: menus, farm magazines, hunting magazines, newspapers from the town I'm working in...it doesn't matter.
I recently discovered http://www.bookmooch.com/. It is my new favorite thing. On this website, you can list books in your "inventory." These are books you are willing to give away by mailing them to another Bookmooch member. Then, the really fun part... you can list books in a wishlist that you'd like to receive. You'll get an email when those books are listed in another members inventory. You earn points by listing books in inventory, 10 books listed= 1 point. You can "mooch" off another member by using a point. You also earn points by mailing a book to a member. You lose a point for mooching and gain a point for giving. I've gotten some great books recently on this. Media mail is about $2.13 for one paperback book to be mailed in the US. However, the cost doesn't increase much for more books or heavier books.
I just finished reading this book, which I mooched. It was a good book, although I wouldnt give it the ranking 4 1/2 stars that it got on Amazon. Basically, the main character Jo moves out from her boyfriend Dan because he says she is acting like her mother. Jo wanted him to call her, beg her to come back, send flowers, anything...well he didn't. So, she creates an online personality and begins emailing him as "Sarah Daly." The book is a cute chick lit; it's set in England which is always fun for a book to read British slang.
